Cal Magic Dinner Theater @ California Magic Dinner Theater
May 26 – May 27 all-day

California Magic Club is like a big private dinner party every Friday and Saturday evening.  Once you come here, you’re a part of our magic family.  The magical evening of fun begins promptly when you arrive on Friday or Saturday night, and the entertainment starts right as you take your seat. You will enjoy our three course dinner and signature drinks with close-up magic performed right at your dinner table in between courses.

Start off dinner with our freshly prepared baby greens salad, topped with your choice of a walnut raspberry vinaigrette or buttermilk ranch dressing. The main course includes both sliced roasted tri-tip beef and marinated boneless chicken breast with our very own creation “garlic butter dipping” sauce, seasonal vegetables and golden herb rice. Vegetarian dinner option is available upon request. End on a sweet note with our famous hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries and other tastey bite-sized treats.

After dessert, our big stage show begins with your magical host Gerry Griffin, who will serve up mysteries with a healthy dose of laughter.  And Gerry is always accompanied by his friends, the greatest magicians in the world today!

Remember, ticket price includes our three course signature dinner, your choice of cola, diet cola, lemonade, iced tea, hot tea or coffee, show, and tax, per person. We save our tricks for the show, not in hidden fees (must purchase tickets in advance).

Shows are suitable for all ages, however, we recommend 13 years and older.

Peter Samelson insists that he doesn’t do magic; he only helps people to see it. He is an illusionist/entertainer/philosopher, blending simplicity and sophistication as he provokes thought and inspires wonder. Within the ³magic community² Peter is highly regarded as a performer, lecturer and author.

Christened “the soft-spoken conceptualist of sorcery” by the New York Times, Peter has distinguished himself not only as a magician, but as an artist. He has performed atop the Great Wall of China, for Mexican peasants and Grand Prix race car drivers, Princess Stephanie of Monaco, the jet-set of Paris and the fishermen mending their nets on the beaches of Cartegena. Peter performs and designs for television, film and theater. Most recently he created magic for Sam Mendes productions (for BAM and The Old Vic) of Cherry Orchard and Winters Tale. The New York Times referred to one creation as “a charming ŒCoup de Théâtre.”

Other projects including the musical Houdini, the films What About Bob and Whispers in the Dark, hosting a syndicated 13 part Magic series, and appearances on the Today Show, CNN’s Sonya Live! and the PBS Special, The Art of Magic. He has also created and starred in two critically acclaimed one-man Off-Broadway shows; The Magician and PaperWork.
