California Magic Club is like a big private dinner party every Friday and Saturday evening. Once you come here, you’re a part of our magic family. The magical evening of fun begins promptly when you arrive on Friday or Saturday night, and the entertainment starts right as you take your seat. You will enjoy our three course dinner and signature drinks with close-up magic performed right at your dinner table in between courses.
Start off dinner with our freshly prepared baby greens salad, topped with your choice of a walnut raspberry vinaigrette or buttermilk ranch dressing. The main course includes both sliced roasted tri-tip beef and marinated boneless chicken breast with our very own creation “garlic butter dipping” sauce, seasonal vegetables and golden herb rice. Vegetarian dinner option is available upon request. End on a sweet note with our famous hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries and other tastey bite-sized treats.
After dessert, our big stage show begins with your magical host Gerry Griffin, who will serve up mysteries with a healthy dose of laughter. And Gerry is always accompanied by his friends, the greatest magicians in the world today!
Remember, ticket price includes our three course signature dinner, your choice of cola, diet cola, lemonade, iced tea, hot tea or coffee, show, and tax, per person. We save our tricks for the show, not in hidden fees (must purchase tickets in advance).
Shows are suitable for all ages, however, we recommend 13 years and older.
Small Changes make a Big Difference
Peter will teach and perform material from his working repertoire with attention to the small details that have a huge impact and the theoretical underpinnings of why those changes matter and why they work.
“Peter Samelson makes magic an art.”
– Dai Vernon
“The theatrical spirit that Samelson infuses into his work is individual and highly effective. All the effects were treated like minor theatrical presentations. Each one was a self-contained three-act play that had an emotional arc and a specific mood. Best of all there wasn’t any evidence of that kind of thinking worn on his sleeve to be admired by the audience. It was rather subtle and all the more powerful for being so.”
– Nick Lewin
Peter Samelson insists that he doesn’t do magic; he only helps people to see it, and his new family-friendly show will delight, amaze and touch you. Peter is collaborating with Ted Killmer to create Magic in the Time of Madness, an irreverent look at the current Mad and Maddening World, seen through the eyes of a magician.
